Along with producing, I also star in this film as the role of David, a young man whose contemplating a divorce from his overly extreme OCD, death-fearing wife. Funny Story:
I got a call from my agent telling me that i had an audition for Baskin Robbins. I was told I needed to wear kakis and a blue polo to resemble an employee. I had the kakis ... but no blue polo. Luckily, my roommate had a blue polo in stock, saving the day. Only it wasn't the tradition BR blue, it was light blue, but hey, it gets the job done.
The initial audition on March 3rd went really well. Callbacks were to be held on the 8th. Well ... the 8th came and went. As did the 9th and now here we are on the 10th ... no callback. With a gentle sigh I returned the blue polo to my roommate.
A few hours later I get a call from my agent. Sweet, another audition ... but when I answered, I got a surprise:
Felix, my agent said "I'm calling to book you on a project that I didn't even know you were 'on avail' for". Yep, you guessed it ... Baskin Robbins. And on top of that, it's a National cable commercial officially making me a member of SAG!
Moral of the story ... sometimes the best things happen, when you just let go and let it be.

I recently had the opportunity to watch "The Fighter" directed by David O. Russell. I had not payed much attention to the entire cast prior to watching, other than the stars that were shown in the trailer. To my surprise, the role of George Ward was played by Jack McGee.
I had the privilege of working with Jack on a film called "Ordinary Average Guys" directed by Michael Kehoe. Jack played the role of Willy Potatoes, who was the boss of my character, Geno. I worked opposite McGee in an intense interrogation scene.
Jack McGee was extremely professional. His knowledge of the craft along side his incredible talent was a pleasure to witness. He has amazing instincts and his performances seem so natural and effortless. His willingness to collaborate and chat with me about our scene in "Ordinary Average Guys" made for an enjoyable day of filming.
Working with Jack is an experience I'll never forget.

Today I performed 3 routines with my students at the USA Dance Showcase Fundraiser – I choreographed the following dances: a Tango (which included an infusion of Argentine, International, and American Tango), an East Coast Swing, and an International Cha Cha.
I'm happy to say that my students did very well and shined among the best at todays showcase.

Tonight was the premiere for "Boys In The Hood", a short comedy written by Anthony Falleroni .
Although I was unable to attend due to a prior commitment to my other film premiere, "Farmer's Tan", I had a great time working on this project with Anthony. Our sense of humors immediately clicked during the audition process and grew even deeper during principle photography. I had a great time bringing the role of Jim to life.
To give you an idea of the hilarity in this project, here's a little synopsis for you:
Jim, a goodhearted teenage Klansmen, falls in love with Mehgna, an Indian liquor store employee. However, when his controlling father Nathan rallies the KKK to remove of the Indian family, Jim must learn to stand up for himself and for love over hate.

Tonight I attended the premiere for "Ordinary Average Guys". A film directed by Michael Kehoe with supporting actors Jack McGee and Glenn Morshower.
The night started off with 3 hilarious comics, including Marco Assante, who was also in the film. Before the screening, director Mike Kehoe and cinematographer Ed Gutentag gave a great speech regarding the importance of this project. The plot parallels an issue that is growing rapidly in this industry: film production leaving California.
In an effort to keep work here in the state, Ed has developed a website called Shoot Movies in California. The money a film brings to any given area during production is hugely rewarding for the surrounding local businesses and economy. He argues that by keeping production here, we can help boost our own economy in California.
It was humbling being a part of a project that was bigger than the film itself.

Being someone who is driven to work in this industry, even if it means creating it myself, I have co-created and co-produced a showcase. This night of performances was not only to gain some recognition among industry professionals, but also to raise awareness for Organ Donation, a very important cause due to a recent loss in a cast members family for being unable to receive a transplant.
My role in the showcase: I choreographed and danced the opening number for the show, a duo East Coast Swing routine to the song Dirty Boogie! I played two original songs on the guitar and performed 2 comedic scenes.
I'm very blessed to be creating and collaborating with such talented people.

This is the first role I have ever been offered without having to audition! Granted, earlier this year I auditioned for Brian's feature film "Farmer's Tan" where I was cast as a supporting role, so he was familiar with my work.

I was invited by Glenn himself while working with him on a film called "Ordinary Average Guys" directed by Michael Kehoe.
The Extra Mile is a phrase used to describe the place beyond where most people go. His seminar was very insightful. One that was designed to awaken, illuminate and expand human consciousness.
If you ever have the chance to catch Glenn give his seminar on "The Extra Mile", I highly recommend it!
